AK Homes loves to build in different places and loves to build different designs. To do this we have experienced and committed people in the office and in the field devoted to providing a great service and a quality build to you. Our on-site teams operate in various regional areas and are conversant with either Timber or Steel framed based building.
Can do! – Build Options with AK Homes
- You can either modify or select a design or create a new design.
- Once the design is decided then we can price to either build for you or you can Owner Build.
- You can use our standard build fixtures, fittings and appliances or we can provide you with a broad range of alternatives or if you have items you wish to include, we will do so.
- At this point a scope of works must be decided on. AK Homes can build to a limited point or to a ‘turn key finish’.
- We then price to build where your block is located.
Build speed – we know how important it is to you. As the bills keep piling up and interest is being charged on your block of land, all you can think of is how quick can I get this house built? Speed of construction is an important factor in keeping costs down for any Owner. At AK Homes we can build most of our designs within 3-6 months to a ‘project finish’.
Building on sloped sites. More often than not a beautiful vista is accompanied by a block that is only easy to stand on if you have one leg shorter than the other. That said you can save thousands of dollars overall by going for a block that is traditionally viewed as hard to build on. Often a steep block is discounted to be cheaper to take into account traditional building methods requiring thousands of dollars to be spent on retaining for a level sand pad. This cut, fill and retain method leaves a heavy impact on the build site. But a flooring system may provide the best solution! Often the most cost effective way to build on a sloped block is to use an elevated flooring system. This can enable your home design to be split into different levels or a single platform if that is preferred. Leaving a light touch upon the land and giving a becoming appearance to your building, a flooring system may be used on any of our designs. One of the greatest benefits is that an elevated flooring system can grant you the best views around!
Cyclone Rating. Any of our designs can be upgraded to a cyclone rating to cater for the highest cyclone rating in our wide brown land. From Karratha (Region D) to Broome (Region C) we can get our designs to rate. Some designs may require modification to cope but overall you can achieve the look or style that you prefer. Western Australia is segregated into different wind regions A, B, C and D. The bulk of WA is zoned Region A with most of WA’s major towns and the Metro area falling within this zone.
We believe that just because you live outside of the Metro area, shouldn’t mean you can’t build what you want at a reasonable price.
Our production methods allow for almost infinite flexibility in design, which means we can create homes to suit your lifestyle, your tastes, your budget and your block.
